Network Modelmakers are a London based architectural modelmaking studio founded by Richard Armiger, providing bespoke architectural scale models for architects, engineers, designers and museums since 1983. We have a long tradition of making fine models of the highest quality so that the most promising architectural ideas can become the built environment. We make models for emerging and established practices, imaginative developers, leading cultural institutions such as the Victoria & Albert Museum, and private individuals. Our models have helped designers and architects win more than fifty major architecture competitions worldwide. For those who wish to express the attachment and pride felt for their home, our House Portrait Models are an alternative to the much more familiar two-dimensional house portrait paintings in oil on canvas. The custom of commissioning models of private homes dates back to antiquity. In ancient Egypt and China, such models were made to honour and recall a life well spent. Our portrait models employ traditional and modern construction techniques and are created with the same care and attention as our museum models.
